it's finally happening.stephen has been interviewing a bevy of carpenters, electricians and plumbers for the last week or so, and by next week we'll have a dishwasher. the interviewing process has been kind of interesting, as there have been multiple tradesmen walking in and out of the house; sometimes at the same time. it's been like juggling suitors.
in fact, stephen texted me yesterday:

i'm so excited, i can hardly stand it.
no more dishpan hands!

Welcome to freedom land. I give this advice to all those who've made and switch and ditched the dish... pan hands that is. You need two sets of everyday dishes and glasses. Thank goodness you're expecting wedding gifts in the near future.
Stock up on two sets of barware. It will get broken, but there's a Fisches Eddie store right near the ferry terminal.
