So blogger has a feature where I can see how many times my blog was visited in a day/week/month or forever. i'm not going to lie; I’m kinda obsessed with it.

So, Blogger suggests blogs occasionally. On principle, I never look at them because I get really angry that they’ve never picked me (that i know of). I was so incredibly bored, today, that I was looking at what they consider "noteworthy" (it was either that or whip out my knitting, at my desk).
this one had me snickering for 45 minutes; this is one seriously funny chick.

To the Left, to the Right

there are a couple of new features to the blog, this morning:
1. On the left sidebar, i've added a "Greatest Hits" link; posts i've written that i'm particularly proud of, for one reason or another.
2. on the right sidebar, i've added a "Popular Posts" widget; these are the posts most often clicked on to read, in full.

i hope you enjoy reading them as much as i've enjoyed writing them; and, as always, comments are always welcome to let me know what you think.

a New Leaf

totally inspired by Julie & Julia, which i finally saw this weekend, i'm making a solemn vow to blog daily. granted, my posts may be in the form of really quick notes or Facebook-esque haiku, but it's better than nothing, right? right. besides, with my iPhone, i can pretty much do anything, and i've got oodles of commuting time, so rather than simply reading other people's self-indulgent prattle, i'll use that time to throw my own out there.

i'm sorry about all the quizzes, but i'm too overworked right now for anything more than this. also, my muse seems to be on some sort of sabbatical, lately, and i find i have terribly little to say (outside of a Facebook status update). maybe she's here, or here or here (they seem to have no problem writing new and interesting things, almost daily).
so, yeah...if you guys happen to see my muse, please tell her i miss her.

i'm not sure when it happened, but i've become a creature of habit; same schedule, every day, with little or no change...

5:20 am~ rise and shine
5:21-5:30 am~ shower/shave/ablutions
5:30-5:50 am~ get dressed, feed puppy, check out facebook, watch NY1 for weather
5:55 am~ catch bus
5:55-6:35~ bus ride to 34th street; read/play DS
6:37-6:40am~ wait for F train; read/play DS
6:40-6:55am~ travel into Brooklyn; read/play DS
6:56am~ get coffee from Man-In-the-Box
7:01am~ ass in chair
7:01-7:30am~ go through e-mails, blog, browse Amazon/Uncommon Goods, etc.
7:30-9am~ random work stuff
9am~ breakfast (FiberOne or Kashi bar & Coffee #1); blog/browse
9:05am-11:30am~ random work stuff
11:30: 1st batch of mail
11:35-1pm~ random work stuff
1:pm~ 2nd batch of mail
1:30pm~eat 1/2 of lunch; blog/browse
1:35-3pm~ random work stuff
3pm~ eat other 1/2 of lunch; blog/browse
3:10-4:50pm~ random work stuff
4:55pm~ dash to elevator
4:55-5:05pm~ wait for A train
5:05-5:25pm~ train ride to 42nd street; read/DS
5:25-5:35pm~ wait for bus back to Staten Island
5:35-6:00pm~ bus ride; read/DS/Ugly Betty on iPod/sleep
6:00pm~ text Stephen from Goethals bridge
6:15pm~ Stephen picks me up at gas station/bus stop
6:15-6:20pm~ drive home, get mail
6:20-6:35pm~ puppy kisses, change into Wii-Fit clothes
6:35-7:20 pm~ Wii-Fit
7:20-7:30pm~ post-Wii-Fit shower; pj's
7:30-7:35pm~ prep clothes for next day
7:35-8:15pm~ dinner with Stephen; random DVD (Dr. Who, Buffy , Torchwood, the Closer, etc)
8:15-9:55pm~ continue DVD; Facebook/DS/puppy time
9:55pm-10pm~ evening ablutions
10pm: bedtime

that's my week, monday through friday.

Pre-Weekend Make Over

so, what do you think? it's a little darker but i felt like a change. oh yeah there's also a new feature that blogger calls "reactions" or somesuch...basically, You The People cans click on what you think of a post without necessarily leaving a comment. we'll see how this flies; i'll probably axe it in a week or two when i see that nobody is clicking.

I'm Back

ok maybe that's not entirely accurate but work seems to have reached a steady and (almost) tolerable pace. though i won't be posting every day, like i used to, expect posts with greater frequency. i won't pretend that i have any idea what's going on out there in the blogging community, but i'll try and catch up over the next couple of days.

thanks for all the kind words (via e-mail and comments); rumor has it we'll be hearing our fate within the next week or two; keep your fingers crossed.

There's Only So Many Times You Can Spin Around on Your Desk Chair Before You Puke, Y'Know?

so, since work seems to have hit a speed bump at 3pm, i've been hitting the next blog button. thanks to Blogger for finally fixing it so that the "next blog" in question isn't some stupid advertisement blog that throws my browser into a total mind-fuck.

now if only they can tailor it so that i stop getting all the blogs from 12 year olds in Japan, India, Thailand, and China and baby blogs from Sweden and Soccer/Football blogs from Latin America (i wouldn't mind if they showed more scantily clad footballers, but alas...). where are all the gay, comic book reading bloggers out there?

it's times like this i miss the now defunct Gay Men Rule multi-authored blog.
