walk if you want. otherwise don't, and have fun with your friends. Let's face it. after the last "chat" with your boss, do you really want to do anything to benefit your company? including making them look good by allowing them to use you to represent in the parade?
please, they'll probably lay you off the next day when they have no more use for you and your 'short' answers.
I say your boss drew the lines in the sand, all you have to do is not cross them.
I think Ryan has a point. Is having their name in the parade doing the company good or is it doing their LGBT employees good?...hmm, let's think about that one....
i think of it this way: my boss doesn't represent the entire company...his views of my performance don't reflect the firm's policies; the company has outstanding benefits/support for their LGBT employees and i feel grateful to work in an environment which recognizes its employees diversity (like i said: my previous employer didn't have an LGBT group)...and, well, proud.
i'd be marching under their banner for myself, mostly, but also as a representitive of the company.
Then you should absolutely do it.
They sound like great employers. We need more like them.
