i bought 4 CD's from Amazon.com last weekend, they came yesterday. This morning i listened to all of them on the bus, on the way to work...
1. Ho Ho Ho (Rupaul): awful. Even Michelle Visage couldn't save this dud. what a waste of $7. shocked? i was...but just a little. "Rupaul the Red-nosed Drag Queen"? Puh-Leez.
2. Ella Wishes You a Swinging Christmas (+ Bonus Tracks) (Ella Fitzgerald): amazing. she has the most fabulous voice for Christmas music...hell she could sing the German national anthem and still make it sound awesome. the only drawback is the "alternate take" of Frosty the Snowman; terribly disturbing.
3. the Doris Day Christmas Album (Doris Day): probably the gayest thing i now own, and definitely one of the best Christmas CD's ever recorded. it made me want to jump off the bus, run home and bake cookies for my husband while wearing a starched apron and pearls. really.
4. Ultra-Lounge Presents: Christmas Cocktails Pt. 2 (Various Artists): peppy and cheap. great background music for our next Christmas/New Years party. personally i could use more vocals, but only because the instrumentals sound like skating rink music...but in a good way...

That Doris Day one looks pretty good to me. Also, I have all 3 of the Christmas Cocktail CDs and I love them!
Also check out Christmas Re-mixed - there's two of those and they're really good.
CFB darling! Any mention of MICHELLE VISAGE is fine by us.
Happy Holidays, babycakes!
